About
Jackson Porter Hardin (Colorado, 1996) is an artist engaged with making sense of humanity as an ecological condition. He works with photographs, book arts, archives, and videography to engage with the concept of Earth Grief–the anxieties and sorrows of ecological loss– and how those points of tension are mirrored between the body and landscape. His work has been exhibited by the Center for Photography Woodstock, the Society for Photographic Education (SPE), and Humble Arts Foundation. His artist book, Dark Garden was recognized as a finalist for the Lucie Foundation Photobook Prize. He holds a BA in Media Studies from Vassar College, and in 2022 earned an MFA in Photography and Related Media at SUNY New Paltz. Hardin teaches at Ramapo College in New Jersey.
